Amazon

August 21st, 2006

Well, I just checked Amazon.ca today and, to my surprise, I found “Motorcycle Therapy” on their “shelves.” How cool is that? That means that you (the consumer) can buy the book at discount prices and screw me (the author) out of well deserved money! Oh well, that’s the way of big business. Also, for those of you who have read the book, you can visit Amazon.ca and post a review for prospective customers… unless you didn’t like the book. Then you can’t do that.

Turn Out

August 20th, 2006

Café Books is a small store. If half of the people committed to attending the launch actually show up, I’m inviting a representative of the Guinness Book of World Records to witness the event. Also, I’ve received word from Trafford that I will actually have books for September 19, thus saving me a most embarrassing evening. (Oh, I’m not suggesting that I won’t embarrass myself at the launch. That, I’ll do. However, I will not compound my shame by showing up with no product.)

Pleasant Surprise

August 15th, 2006

Weird. The book is already selling quite well and it hasn’t even appeared in stores yet. I assume my mother is responsible for most of the sales, but she couldn’t possibly account for all the copies sold so far. So, thanks to everyone for your support so early in “the campaign.” If this keeps up, I’ll be able to ride to South America this winter after all. (That sort of backfired on you, hey Mom?)

Student BBQ

August 13th, 2006

Thanks to all our former motorcycle students who turned up and braved the weather to make one great road ride, today! It was good to see you all again. Maybe I’ll see you again in Canmore for the book launch. Otherwise, I’ll just see you on the road. Take care!

Book Launch

August 10th, 2006

The launch is scheduled for 7pm Tuesday, September 19 at Café Books in Canmore, AB. Everyone is invited! But, please don’t bring any rotten fruit.
